Can this be used with a wall mount dimmer switch instead of the remote supplied?

Hi There,
No, this light cannot be used with a dimmer switch as there is already a dimmer built into the unit. This would cause the lights to flicker and make a buzzing noise.
This light can only be installed with a standard on/off wall switch.

The light is fabulous, it is close to the ceiling, nothing hanging dow...
The light is fabulous, it is close to the ceiling, nothing hanging down. The starry sky is not visible when the light is off, but when it is on, wow! It looks great! The lighting levels are just right too, I love the night mode. The whole kitchen is lit without shadow.
